Karoline Leavitt, the youngest White House press secretary in history, is leaving the role at the end of August to focus on raising her two young children, but she won’t be leaving Trump’s orbit.
President Trump announced the departure himself, calling Leavitt “one of my most trusted aides” and confirming she will transition into a top outside advisory role. Leavitt, 28, posted a lengthy statement on X describing the decision as “bittersweet,” saying she could no longer balance the demands of the job with being the mother she wants to be after the recent birth of her second child.
