White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt appeared alongside President Trump at Joint Base Andrews just one day after announcing she would leave the administration at month’s end, a departure that leaves the podium empty with midterm elections less than three months away.
Leavitt, 28, boarded Marine One at the Ellipse near the White House on Friday, then accompanied Trump to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, where both climbed the stairs to Air Force One. The president was headed to a police academy in Garden City, New York, before spending the weekend at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. Leavitt, who the Daily Mail reported looked visibly exhausted during the outing, had posted her resignation announcement on X just the day before.
