British actress Lucy Davis, best known for playing Dawn Tinsley in the BBC’s original The Office, thanked fans for a flood of support after publicly disclosing her Stage 4 breast cancer, a diagnosis she kept private for eighteen months.
Davis, 53, posted a follow-up message on Instagram Thursday after her initial cancer announcement Tuesday drew far more attention than she expected. She had revealed that her breast cancer, diagnosed roughly a year and a half ago, had spread to her bones and that chemotherapy was no longer an option. Fox News reported that the cancer had metastasized to her spine, right hip, and ribs.
