British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is refusing to budge on the United Kingdom staying out of the conflict in Iran. “My position on Iran has been clear from the start: We’re not going to get dragged into this war,” Starmer said.
Starmer was adamant that his mind wouldn’t be changed and said it isn’t in the national interest of the United Kingdom to participate in the war, NBC News reported.
For his stance on the war, President Donald Trump has severely criticized Starmer. Politico reports that Starmer’s opposition could threaten a brewing trade deal between the United States and the U.K.
