A passenger aboard Frontier Airlines Flight 3345 tried to pry open exit doors and force his way into the cockpit on Sunday, prompting fellow passengers and crew to wrestle him to the floor and zip-tie his wrists before the plane made an emergency diversion to Miami International Airport.
The flight had departed San Juan, Puerto Rico, bound for Chicago O’Hare International Airport. It never made it. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed crew members reported a “passenger disturbance,” and the plane landed safely in Miami just before 12 p.m. local time.
