Here’s how the system currently works. Bob or Ahmed comes here on a visa. Might be a tourist visa or a student visa. Then he wants to stay on so he transitions to a ‘green card’ or residential alien status. Instead of applying to live here on a full time basis from outside the United States, he exploits the visa to establish a base of operations here. This at a practical level is how much of the demographic change happens. Visa arrivals are supposed to be here only temporarily, but they come and then they never leave. Now the Trump…

By Dennis Lennox, CP Contributor Sunday, May 24, 2026A spur of the old Oregon Trail at the Whitman Mission National Historic Site. | Dennis LennoxEastern Washington is worlds away from Seattle, the Evergreen State’s largest city. Here in Walla Walla, the Oregon Trail and the missionaries associated with westward expansion still help define the small city of 34,060 people and the county seat of the same name, even as much of its modern identity is tied to the world-class wine produced by more than 120 wineries drawing from nearly 3,000 acres of vineyards. The history runs deep here.Long before pioneers arrived by…
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen † . Posted in Uncategorized
By Scott Sauls, Op-ed contributor Sunday, May 24, 2026Getty Images/PyroskyFor most of my career, I have functioned as if my worth depended on the quality, intensity, and output of my work. That is the deep lie at the center of workaholism, which is a disease with many faces. It can wear the face of selfish ambition, shameless posturing, or unapologetic greed. In the life of a Christian, and especially in the life of a pastor, it usually wears the more acceptable, even admirable, face of devotion. Long hours, limitless availability, and zero boundaries, all in the name of “serving” are all too…
By Eric Wallace, Sunday, May 24, 2026Credit: Woodson CenterOn May 19, 2026, we lost one of the great moral voices of our time. Bob Woodson, 89, passed away, leaving behind a legacy that cannot be measured merely in awards, books, speeches, or institutions. His true legacy lives in the countless lives he restored, the communities he strengthened, and the truth he courageously proclaimed when it was neither popular nor profitable to do so.For me personally, this loss is deeply painful. Bob Woodson was more than a nationally respected leader. He was a friend, a mentor, and a model of principled…

Dozens of gunshots were reportedly heard near the White House on Saturday night. The incident resulted in a lockdown. The U.S. Secret Service shot and killed the shooter after he approached a security checkpoint and started firing at officers. Editor’s note: This is part of a series on the June 2 primary election in California. As the Golden State’s voters prepare for the June 2 primary election, California’s legislators spoke with The Center Square about whether the state’s November 2025 redistricting election would ultimately benefit blue or red politicians. Democratic lawmakers said they’re confident the California Democratic Party is on track to pick up five new seats in the U.S. House this November, but that they’re not taking for granted races where Republican candidates could have an advantage. Some races, like Congressional District 11 and Congressional District 48, have a…
A long-awaited bill spending $580 billion on American highways and transportation infrastructure is on track to hit the U.S. House floor for a vote as soon as June. The bipartisan BUILD America 250 Act, a five-year surface transportation reauthorization bill, passed out of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Friday. The 1,000-page legislation makes the largest federal investment in bridges and provides new revenue for the dwindling Highway Trust Fund for the first time in more than 30 years. The HTF funds the maintenance, repair and building of U.S. highways and mass transit systems. Out of the $580 billion authorized…
A shipyard explosion on Staten Island killed one worker and injured 34 FDNY members Friday afternoon, leaving a fire marshal intubated in critical condition and raising urgent questions about what caused the blast at a waterfront facility where firefighters had entered to rescue trapped workers. The FDNY received a report of workers trapped and a fire at the back of the shipyard at 3075 Richmond Terrace, between Lockman Avenue and Andros Avenue, around 3:30 p.m., ABC7NY reported. Firefighters rushed to a basement area inside a metal structure near the docks where the workers were caught. Roughly fifty minutes later, around 4:20…
Prosecutors in Austin, Texas, revealed Tuesday that one of three teenage suspects accused of carrying out a dozen separate shootings across the city over the weekend is an illegal immigrant, a disclosure that came alongside news of an ICE detainer filed against him and an existing warrant for a prior firearm theft.Cristian Mondragon-Fajardo, 17, now faces six felony charges and is being held without bond after what authorities described as a sprawling overnight crime spree on May 16 that left four people shot, one of them in critical condition, and sent bullets into fire stations, apartment buildings, homes, vehicles, and…
Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson are officially married. The couple wed in a quiet ceremony on Thursday, ahead of a larger wedding celebration planned for the weekend in the Bahamas, Fox News Digital reported.A marriage certificate obtained by TMZ confirmed the union. The license was signed by a Palm Beach County deputy clerk, and the ceremony was reportedly officiated by Brad McPherson, a real estate attorney with longtime ties to the Trump family. The wedding caps a relationship that moved from first public sighting to engagement to marriage in roughly a year, a pace that suggests both parties knew…
The House Energy and Commerce Committee voted 48-1 on Thursday to advance the Sunshine Protection Act, a bill that would make Daylight Saving Time permanent and end the twice-a-year ritual of resetting every clock in America. Hours later, President Trump threw his full weight behind the measure, pledging on Truth Social to work hard to get it signed into law.If the bill clears the full House and Senate, Americans would spring forward one final time and never fall back again. Standard time would disappear from the calendar altogether. The lopsided committee vote and presidential backing give the proposal more momentum…
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed House Bill 1168, a measure that makes trafficking abortion-inducing drugs into or within the state a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison and a $100,000 fine. Stitt formally approved the bill on May 5 and held a ceremonial signing Tuesday alongside the bill’s authors and pro-life supporters. The law takes effect August 12. It targets anyone who knowingly possesses or delivers mifepristone, misoprostol, or methotrexate to a person who intends to use them for an abortion. Oklahoma already bans abortion except to save the mother’s life, but HB 1168 adds a new enforcement…
Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin finally released a long-shelved report on his party’s 2024 campaign failures Thursday, bowing to mounting pressure from frustrated operatives who spent months demanding the document see daylight. The 192-page autopsy, authored by Democratic consultant Paul Rivera, delivers a blunt verdict: voters across Middle America and the South no longer see themselves in the Democratic Party. That finding alone should surprise no one who watched the 2024 results roll in. But the real story isn’t what the report says. It’s that the DNC’s own chairman tried to bury it, and got caught. Martin had the report…
Sen. Roger Wicker, the Mississippi Republican who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee, issued a pointed public warning Thursday telling President Donald Trump not to trade away American military leverage for a diplomatic agreement with Iran that Wicker said would be worthless. The statement landed just as Secretary of State Marco Rubio acknowledged “some progress” in ongoing negotiations with Tehran, and as Trump himself signaled patience with the diplomatic track. The rare intraparty friction puts a senior defense hawk directly at odds with the administration’s stated preference for a negotiated outcome, and it raises a question the White House will have…
President Donald Trump told a rally crowd in Rockland County, New York, on Friday that his administration’s economic policies have moved nearly five million Americans off the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in just sixteen months, a claim that, if borne out by Agriculture Department data, would represent one of the sharpest declines in food-stamp enrollment in the program’s history.Trump delivered the figure alongside a broader set of economic assertions: 300,000 jobs created in the past two months, record-high employment nationwide, surging factory construction, rising residential building, and what he called the highest rate of core capital-goods orders by American companies…
The House Energy and Commerce Committee passed the Sunshine Protection Act on Thursday by a lopsided 48-1 vote, and President Trump immediately threw his weight behind the measure, setting up the strongest push in decades to kill the twice-a-year clock change that most Americans say they despise. The bill, tucked inside a broader transportation package, would make Daylight Saving Time permanent and do away with standard time altogether. No more “falling back” in November. No more groggy Monday mornings in March after losing an hour of sleep. If it clears the full House and Senate, Trump has signaled he will sign…
Police in Philadelphia discovered the body of an unidentified man stuffed inside a suitcase in the city’s Kensington neighborhood on Friday morning, launching an investigation that has so far yielded no suspects, no cause of death, and no answers for the residents who live steps from where the grim find was made.Officers responded to a call on the 600 block of East Hilton Street around 9:25 a.m. on May 22. Medics arrived shortly after and pronounced the man dead at 9:27 a.m., NBC10 Philadelphia reported. Investigators have not determined a cause of death. They have not released information on possible…

“Strategic autonomy” has been an increasingly frequent buzz phrase among European Union leaders, guiding member states to increase defense spending, double down on support for Ukraine, and stay out of the Israel and U.S.-led conflict with Iran. Now the concept is being put to the test by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s threats against the Baltic States. In recent days, Putin said that membership in NATO “will not protect” Baltic states – Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia – that may be aiding Ukraine by hosting its military drones, something Russia accuses Latvia of doing. All three countries are members of the European Union…
President Donald Trump appears well positioned to break the old guard of Senate Republicans in the growing row over legislative priorities – as key allies of Senate Majority Leader John Thune either retire or possibly lose the primaries. For months, the Senate has faced considerable pressure from Trump and his allies to pass the Save America Act, a marquis voter ID bill, a proposition that Thune and the senior conference leadership have rejected. Thune has also kept Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough, whom Trump wants removed because she has not allowed key parts of the president’s agenda to pass through so-called “reconciliation”…
More than three years after Congress opened the courthouse door for hundreds of thousands of veterans and their families poisoned by contaminated drinking water at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, fewer than one percent of claimants have received any compensation. The Justice Department says it is picking up the pace under the Trump administration. Victims and their attorneys say it is not nearly enough. One million service members, their families, and civilian workers were exposed to toxic water at Camp Lejeune The federal government has acknowledged that roughly one million service members, their families, and civilian workers were exposed to toxic water at…
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is pushing to declassify a secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court opinion expected to reveal major compliance failures in the government’s use of Section 702 surveillance powers, Just the News has learned. The effort comes as Congress is debating whether to renew Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which permits the government to collect communications of foreign targets located abroad. Civil liberties advocates and constitutional scholars have long argued the program also sweeps in large volumes of Americans’ communications without warrants, creating what critics describe as a loophole around Fourth Amendment protections. At the…

Medea Benjamin and Hasan Piker. As you may have heard, back in March, Medea Benjamin of Code Pink, far left influencer Hasan Piker and others, traveled to Cuba. It was basically a political operation. They claimed they were there to show solidarity with the people of Cuba, but they were really just celebrating communism, which they think is great for some reason. Now they are facing federal scrutiny over the trip and have been served subpoenas. It’s all fun and games until you’re the target of a federal investigation, right? They will naturally, paint themselves as victims here, but no…

Image: Wikimedia Commons (U.S. Department of Defense, February 2025) Do you recall how the U.S. Military struggled to meet recruitment goals un Joe Biden? Those days are clearly over. On Pete Hegseth’s watch, under President Trump, the armed forces are having no trouble at all getting new recruits to sign up. The Army just met its goals four months ahead of schedule. It’s so funny to think back to the hissy fit that was thrown by Democrats and the media when Trump announced he wanted Pete Hegseth for the War Department. They acted like it was the end of the…

Screencap of Twitter/X video. Eugene Daniels is the senior Washington correspondent for MSNOW and he has a rather untraditional take on what the term ‘kitchen table issues’ means to most people. During a recent segment about the Democrat autopsy of the 2024 election, Daniels was asked what he thinks Democrats should do going forward. Daniels suggested that it is possible for Democrats to continue embracing identity politics while also talking about things like abortion and trans kids, which he goes on to suggest are kitchen table issues. Someone needs to clue him in that for the vast majority of the…
CDC warns: Malaria could return to U.S. as imported cases rise The CDC warned that malaria could become reestablished in the United States despite the disease being eliminated in the 1950s. Approximately 2,000 malaria cases and seven deaths are reported annually in the U.S., primarily among international travelers. Ten locally acquired malaria cases were reported across four states in 2023, the first such outbreak in two decades. Anopheles mosquitoes capable of transmitting malaria remain widespread across much of the country. Global malaria cases rose to 282 million in 2024, with Africa accounting for 95 percent of deaths worldwide. Reintroduction risk:…
Human Rights Watch (HRW) reported Tuesday, May 19, that six months after the October 2025 ceasefire, President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” has failed to deliver promised relief to Gaza. According to HRW, Israeli attacks have killed at least 856 Palestinians and wounded 2,463 since the ceasefire, based on data from the Gaza Health Ministry. The group stated that aid volumes remain far below required levels and critical humanitarian access routes have been repeatedly obstructed, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). “The humanitarian infrastructure sustaining life in Gaza remains in peril over six…
The sandworm malware strikes: How a hacker group stole 4,000 GitHub repositories and exposed the rot at the core of modern software security Supply chain attacks exploit foundational trust in development tools rather than relying on zero-day exploits or brute force, as demonstrated by TeamPCP’s breach of GitHub where a poisoned VS Code extension allowed attackers to steal 4,000 private repositories using valid employee credentials. The Trivy poisoning incident showed how attackers can weaponize trusted security scanners—injecting credential-stealing malware into an official GitHub Action that silently stole AWS keys, SSH credentials and database passwords while logs falsely reported “scan completed…
U.K. government quietly eases Russian oil sanctions amid fuel price crisis The U.K. Labour government has waived sanctions on Russian-origin diesel and jet fuel processed in third countries due to spiking fuel prices, exposing the hollowness of the sanctions regime. The Conservative Party, led by Kemi Badenoch, has condemned the reversal as insane, highlighting Labour’s contradiction between blocking North Sea drilling and allowing Russian imports. This erosion of sanctions, mirrored by a similar U.S. waiver, proves that economic warfare against Russia has failed and only harms ordinary citizens through higher costs. Dan Tomlinson claims the waiver is “small and time-limited,”…
Canadian scientists uncover massive natural hydrogen source deep beneath Earth’s surface University of Toronto geochemist Barbara Sherwood Lollar led a team that mapped vast quantities of naturally occurring white hydrogen trapped kilometers beneath Earth’s surface in Canada, South Africa and Scandinavia. The study, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, documented sustained hydrogen release from billion-year-old rocks in the Canadian Shield near Timmins, Ontario. Individual boreholes release an average of 0.008 tonnes of hydrogen annually, with the site’s nearly 15,000 boreholes estimated to produce over 140 tonnes per year. Sherwood Lollar noted the discovery provides a “made in…
The cultural fountain of youth: How reading, museums and concerts may slow your biological clock Attending concerts, visiting museums, reading or other arts engagement just a few times per year slows biological aging, with weekly participation linked to a 4% reduction in the aging rate—comparable to the benefits of exercise. Unlike physical workouts, cultural activities stimulate multiple brain regions through coordination, language and sustained attention, building neural resilience. Stress reduction is the primary pathway, as these activities lower inflammation and foster mindfulness. Group-based cultural activities provide both cognitive stimulation and meaningful human interaction, counteracting loneliness and isolation, which are linked…
Resistance Band Workout for Glutes and Legs Can Be Completed in 12 Minutes at Home, Trainer Says A certified personal trainer has outlined a 12-minute at-home workout using only a resistance band to target the glutes and legs. The routine, designed to be performed without gym equipment, aims to build lower-body strength through efficient, short-duration exercise. According to trainer Amber Yang, the workout requires minimal space and can be completed in a small area, making it accessible for individuals with limited time or access to fitness facilities. The approach is supported by research suggesting that training near muscular failure with…
Study: Adding strawberries to matcha may enhance antioxidant benefits at different brewing temperatures A new study from Qassim University found that adding 15% strawberry powder to matcha enhances its antioxidant potential, with benefits varying by brewing temperature. Catechins and antioxidant activity peaked at near-boiling (212 F), while anti-inflammatory effects were strongest at warm temperatures (158 F) and cold brewing (41 F) best preserved vitamin C and anthocyanins from the strawberries. The strawberry powder creates a more acidic environment that stabilizes heat-sensitive compounds, enabling greater flexibility in preparation, but these findings are from in vitro testing and do not confirm how…

A meta-analysis published in BMC Gastroenterology in December 2025 pooled data from 23 studies involving 1,012 participants with fatty liver disease. The analysis found that exercise interventions significantly improved liver enzyme levels, cholesterol profiles, triglyceride levels, insulin resistance, and fasting blood sugar. According to the researchers, the improvements were consistent across a range of exercise types and intensities. According to a report published on NaturalHealth365.com, the meta-analysis examined both aerobic and resistance training protocols and found that consistent physical activity produced measurable changes in liver health markers. [1] The study authors stated that the findings challenge the assumption that fatty liver…

California Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer. Credit: Gage Skidmore/Wikimedia Commons Billionaire Democrat Tom Steyer recently decided to make a campaign stop in the Leimert Park area of Los Angeles. Things did not go well. Clearly angry residents surrounded his vehicle and some of them shouted threats. One man even allegedly pulled a knife on one of Steyer’s staffers. [HERE] MSNOW is once again pretending that political weaponization only becomes a problem when President Donald Trump tries to fix it. On Saturday, MSNOW attacked Trump’s proposed $1.776 billion anti-weaponization fund, framing it as a corrupt taxpayer-funded payout to “insurrectionists.” The fund was reportedly created as part of a settlement connected to Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS and is intended to compensate Americans who say they were unfairly targeted by the Biden administration’s justice system. That is exactly why the left…
