A federal appeals court on Thursday kept a stay in place against President Donald Trump’s mail-in voting executive order, marking the latest development in a back-and-forth over its implementation.A three-judge panel refused to lift the stay from District Judge Indira Talwani, according to the Associated Press. The Supreme Court is expected to address the matter in the near future.
Separate challenges in Massachusetts and the D.C. area have seen stays imposed, lifted, and reimposed, complicating the Postal Service’s rollout of the order.
Trump’s order requires that states provide the Postal Service with a lit of voters through an online portal.
