President Donald Trump hosts a formal state dinner Tuesday night for King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the White House, as the royal couple visit the United States for the nation’s 250th birthday.The dinner comes on the king’s first official trip to the U.S. as monarch, though he has visited the U.S. multiple times when his mother, the late-Queen Elizabeth II, was on the throne.
The monarch is currently on a four-day trip to the U.S. where he is also expected to attend a wreath laying ceremony at the 9/11 memorial in New York City, and visit a national park in Virginia on Thursday.
The state dinner is expected to begin at 8 p.m. Eastern and can be streamed here.
