Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Sunday released a statement that he was hospitalized last month due to a fall, coming after days of speculation about the longtime lawmaker’s health.
In a statement to multiple media outlets on Sunday evening, McConnell said that he suffered a fall in June that left him unconscious for a brief period. He also had a mild case of pneumonia, according to the statement.
