Rep. Max Miller asks House Ethics Committee to launch ethics probe into allegations against him

Rep. Max Miller, R-Ohio, is asking the House Ethics Committee to initiate an investigation into himself following domestic abuse allegations from his ex-wife, Emily Moreno.”In light of all the renewed interest in my family affairs I am going to file my own paperwork for an ethics investigation into myself to clear my name from these horrific attacks on myself and family. I have absolutely nothing to hide,” Miller said in a post on X.
Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, father of Emily Moreno, commented last weekend on the divorce and custody battle between his daughter and Miller, saying it’s been “a horrific experience for my entire family. My daughter lives in constant fear of this man, not like something that’s existential, but deeply in her heart, she fears what this guy is capable of,” the Washington Examiner reported. 
Moreno broke his silence on the case, he said, in part because documents that he said Miller and his attorneys mishandled, resulted in a naked photo of his 2-year-old granddaughter being posted online. Emily Moreno’s attorneys said the inclusion of the photograph constitutes “child sexual abuse material,” which could be a felony offense. 
One of Miller’s attorneys took responsibility for not properly removing and redacting sensitive material from the documents that were being exchanged as part of the couple’s ongoing legal proceedings. 
In his post on X, Miller said he would be cooperative with the investigation he’s asking the committee to launch. 
“We will be providing the committee all necessary documents needed for a detail examination. The accusations continue to change, but my facts stay the same. I am looking forward to my colleagues reading everything for themselves,” Miller said.
