No Kings movement plans national protests for Trump’s 80th birthday next month

The “No Kings” movement announced it is planning nationwide protests next month on President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday, which will include a 90-minute concert in New York City.There have been three rounds of “No Kings” protests since the president took office last year, including a protest on his 79th birthday that coincided with the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary parade in Washington, D.C. 
The next round of protests will take place on June 14 and will include a “Rise Up, Sing Out” concert that features artists like Bette Midler and Patti Smith. Jane Fonda’s Committee for the First Amendment will sponsor the event.
“The next 250 starts with us,” the movement said on its website. “As America approaches its anniversary about what story we tell, we can let strongman politics and corruption define the moment, or we can make the story of America about people coming together — across race, background, identity, belief, and community — to defend our rights and build a future rooted in people’s power.
“On June 14, we rise up, we sing out, and we keep organizing,” it added.
The upcoming protests will coincide with an Ultimate Fighting Championship match at the White House.
