Tallgrass, which operates more than 10,000 miles of pipelines primarily to transport oil and natural gas, announced Monday it is donating $105 to Yellowstone Forever, the Yellowstone National Park’s fundraising organization. The fund will support conservation and research to extend the reach and impact of the park’s scientific work, support infrastructure development to enhance park access, and expand opportunities to experience Yellowstone, according to a press release.
Tallgrass is one of many portfolio companies under Blackstone Infrastructure Partners, which has $90 billion in assets under management.
Lisa Diekmann, the president and CEO of Yellowstone Forever, told SFGATE that the fund will be managed by Yellowstone Forever, and neither Blackstone nor Tallgrass would have any say in decisions concerning which projects the fund will support.
