A 46-year-odl resident of Rockland County, New York, was shot and killed on New York City’s George Washington Bridge Tuesday in what investigators believe may have been a road-rage incident.Investigators are looking at surveillance video of the incident to help police locate the shooter, WABC reported.
The victim was driving a Volkswagen Golf on a ramp leading to the westbound upper level of the bridge when his vehicle almost collided with another driver. As both vehicles continued toward New Jersey, an occupant of the other vehicle fired a shot, according to investigators.
The victim was transported to Englewood Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities identified the victim as Koran Irvine, a Con Edison employee.
“We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of a member of the Con Edison family in this senseless act of violence. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who knew and loved him,” a spokesperson for Con Edison said in a statement.
