Justice Department creates committee tasked with advising on strategies to address antisemitism

The Justice Department is creating an Anti-Semitism Advisory Committee. The panel will provide recommendations to the attorney general and the department on strategies to address the “rising tide of antisemitism across the United States,” according to a DOJ announcement Tuesday. 
“President Trump has made combating antisemitism a top priority for this Administration,” acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement. 
The committee will be chaired by Leo Terrell, chair of the DOJ Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism. The announcement follows two executive orders President Donald Trump signed, including one that was signed in his first term — both aimed at combating antisemitism.
