Sonja Denobrega was TD Insurance’s associate vice-president of underwriting operations, earning an annual base salary of 210,000 Canadian dollars at the time of her removal. She had more than 25 years of insurance experience but had joined TD only months earlier. Her lawsuit was filed in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Toronto.
