It is just after Labor Day, the traditional commencement of American political campaigns. True, today our political campaigns seem perpetual, but indulge me in my harkening to a more distant, if not necessarily better, electoral tradition. (I am a conservative, after all, even if a populist one.) So, here’s one for the home team.
Democrats want voters to send a message to President Trump. This makes sense, due to the slipshod manner in which Michigan Democrats have run the Great Lakes State for the past eight years. No wonder their increasingly radicalized party wants a message sent anywhere but to the Lansing Democrats—i.e., themselves.
