Michigan Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens appeared alongside Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers at a Detroit church Sunday, deepening tensions within the Democratic Party just days before the election. She later posted on social media that she is endorsing Rogers.
Stevens, who narrowly lost the Democratic Senate primary to Abdul El-Sayed in August, has publicly criticized her former opponent over his comments about Israel and his response to a controversial political advertisement linking U.S. support for Israel to rising grocery prices.
Republicans in Congress have signaled they will further investigate the ongoing scandal in Alaska involving Democrats’ use of a candidate with a nearly identical name to incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan, a Republican.
