White House releases menu for State Dinner with British royals

The White House released the menu Tuesday night for the evening’s state dinner with King Charles III and Queen Camilla.President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump are hosting the royal couple this week for their first official visit to the United States since Charles took the throne in 2022. 
An official guest list for the dinner has not been released so far but the New York Post reports that the president will be joined by his children Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, Eric and Lara Trump, and Michael Boulos and Tiffany Trump Boulos. It was not clear if Donald Trump Jr. or Eric Trump will attend the dinner.
The White House said Melania Trump planned the state dinner, which will consist of three courses, dessert and wine.
Here is a list of the courses:
The first course is a Garden Vegetable Velouté with a hearts of palm salad, toasted shallots and a whisper of micro mint.
The second course is a Spring Herbed Ravioli, which will contain ricotta cheese, earthy morels and “gently dressed in a light parmesan emulsion.”
The third course is a classic dover sole meunière, which will be accompanied by tender spring ramps, snow peas, potatoes pavé, and parsley oil.
The dessert will be a beehive-shaped chocolate gâteau with a vanilla bean crémeux custard and an almond joconde. The gateau will also be accompanied by a crème fraîche ice cream and White House honey.
The menu was designed to “honor the Special Relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom as the American people mark 250 years of independence,” according to the White House.
The high profile event will also feature music from the United States Marines, Army and Air Force.
