The Bulls announced their decision regarding Ivey on March 30, 2026, stating they felt his conduct was detrimental to the team. Ivey’s video about Pride Month was posted earlier that same day.
Ivey called the league’s celebration of Pride Month “unrighteousness.” Ivey has posted several other videos with similar content over the last several weeks. The 24-year-old basketball player has stated in the past that he deals with depression. In his latest post, Ivey said, “The world can proclaim LGBTQ, right? They proclaim Pride Month and the NBA. They proclaim it. They show it to the world.”
