President Donald Trump greets Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Joint Military Base Andrews in Maryland on Wednesday evening as the two leaders prepare for a three-day state visit. The Chinese leader will remain in the United States until Friday and will have a formal arrival ceremony at the White House on Thursday. He will also engage in bilateral talks with Trump, and participate in a state dinner on Thursday night.
Xi will then have a private tea at the White House on Friday, followed by a joint cultural tour before departing.
Wednesday’s arrival ceremony can be streamed here. The arrival is expected to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern.
