Well, it finally happened. Tim Walz — Minnesota’s scandal-soaked, perpetually blame-shifting Democratic governor — is throwing in the towel. After two terms, multiple fraud scandals, and a not-so-flattering cameo as the Democrats’ 2024 vice presidential nominee, Walz has decided not to run for re-election. But don’t expect a graceful exit. Oh no, he’s going out the same way he governed: pointing fingers at everyone but himself.
In a statement so long it could’ve been a Netflix documentary pitch, Walz painted himself as the victim of — wait for it — Donald Trump. Because of course. Apparently, Trump is the one responsible for Minnesota’s tangled web of government fraud, not the actual officials who ran the state while millions in taxpayer dollars allegedly vanished into the hands of scammers and phony nonprofits.
