A Republican lawmaker in Virginia is calling for an investigation after a constituent reportedly received an official certificate restoring the voting rights of a dog that died about five years ago.
Del. Tom Garrett of Buckingham says the incident calls into question how carefully Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s administration is handling the restoration of voting and jury-service rights for former felons, according to Fox News.
