Vice President JD Vance drew a roaring response from thousands of Republican convention-goers in Dallas after confronting a protester who waved a Mexican flag during his primetime keynote, offering to buy the heckler a plane ticket south of the border.
The disruption came Thursday night during the second day of the RNC midterm convention at American Airlines Center. An unidentified individual emerged from the packed crowd, waving Mexican and Palestinian flags and heckling Vance mid-speech. Security escorted the protester out, but not before Vance seized the moment from the podium and turned it into the night’s defining exchange.
