Ukraine’s military has regained full access to Starlink satellite communications for drones and other fast-moving equipment after restrictions disrupted operations on the battlefield for more than a week, Ukrainian officials said.Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara said monitoring systems confirmed stable connections for equipment traveling faster than 250 mph.
The speed restrictions affected Starshield, SpaceX’s military-grade satellite communications service, which Ukraine relies on for drone missions, military logistics and communications near the front lines.
Khmara cited direct negotiations and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s diplomatic efforts with Washington as instrumental in restoring access.
