The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is introducing new computed tomography (CT) scanners at airport security checkpoints nationwide, according to a report by The Independent.
A TSA spokesperson told FOX 13 that the new machines have a smaller opening than the older scanners they replace, and travelers whose carry-on bags do not fit may be required to check them. The change could affect passengers who routinely bring bags that exceed standard airline carry-on dimensions, the agency indicated.
