President Trump turned an Oval Office press availability into a pointed confrontation with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Wednesday, accusing the network of “false reporting” and telling Collins she should “be ashamed” of herself after she pressed him on the Justice Department’s so-called anti-weaponization fund.
The exchange began when Collins asked Trump about the status of the DOJ’s $1.776 “anti-weaponization fund”, a proposal that has drawn resistance from some Republicans on Capitol Hill. Trump’s answer quickly shifted from the fund itself to a broadside against CNN and its reporter.
