President Trump is requesting that the Supreme Court revisit his previously dismissed lawsuit against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, reports said on Friday. Trump has argued that Clinton and her allies tried to destroy his 2016 presidential campaign with claims of collusion between his campaign and Russia. A federal judge had ordered Trump and his former attorney, Alina Habba, to pay about $1 million in sanctions as part of his ruling to dismiss the case.
Trump’s lawyers reportedly are arguing that his legal effort was legitimate and he shouldn’t have been punished.
