President Donald Trump on Monday announced that he would approve $24.5 million in emergency funds to help Missouri deal with severe storms.”I just spoke with the Governor of Missouri, Mike Kehoe, an outstanding guy, and told him I am approving 24.5 Million Dollars for the severe storms, winds, tornadoes, and flooding they have experienced,” he posted on Truth Social. “Missouri is in good hands with the Governor, Senators Eric Schmitt and Josh Hawley, and fantastic Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, Jason Smith. God bless you all!”
Trump’s announcement comes as the National Weather Service warns of severe thunderstorms, large hail, and severe wind gusts across the northern Plains and upper Midwest.
