The UK has a shortage of doctors. About 20,000 MDs leave the country each year; the low salaries that the socialized medical system, NHS, provides drive them out. In their stead, foreign doctors — many from Muslim countries such as Pakistan and Egypt — have been allowed in to practice. It turns out not to have been a wise idea; these foreign doctors make up a majority of the misconduct cases.
