The 2026 Nobel Peace Prize has gone to Navi Pillay, the former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
My first thought was not of her distinguished UN career. It was of another Nobel laureate, my friend Liu Xiaobo. What would Xiaobo have thought of this year’s choice?
