She has white pulled-back hair, is petite and friendly. But very much in charge. Sylvie runs a brasserie on Rue de la France in Nice with tables out front and a crew of customers who consist largely of regulars.
When the women in our group helped an old man with a backpack and a cane both to take off his backpack and maneuver himself into his café chair, Sylvie said, “Attention. C’est un vrai dragueur, hein.”
