    The Federal Bureau of Investigation has stated that it pulled off the biggest security operation for a sporting event in history, providing protection for almost 7 million fans during the 2026 FIFA World Cup while simultaneously shooting down over 700 drones that entered restricted airspace. FBI Director Kash Patel sat down and spoke with Fox News, sharing details about the operation.

    According to Patel, the bureau provided an enormous amount of manpower in order to secure the elite professional soccer tournament, which featured a total of 78 matches played across 11 U.S. cities. “That’s what we executed on,” Patel stated, comparing the challenge to securing “Seventy-eight Super Bowls in 38 days.”
