Whether you are running for Congress or for local animal control officer, there is a campaign strategy that is almost invariably utilized against your opponent with varying degrees of success. It involves the attempt to twist and turn your opponent’s weaknesses into strengths and their strengths into weaknesses. Using the truth to accomplish this aim is most effective, but it is obviously not required; and the use of expedient deceits is dependent upon a candidate’s combination of ambition and amorality.
