SUV driver in bus accident near deadly helicopter crash arrested on suspicion of murder: LAPD

The driver of a sport utility vehicle that was traveling the wrong way before colliding with a Metro bus on Tuesday has been arrested on suspicion of murder, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The collision killed two people and happened near where a news helicopter crashed, killing six people. 
Police identified Bailee Lynn Rios, 36, as the driver of the 2004 Ford Expedition that hit the bus. Rios is suspected of reckless driving and running a red light with possible DUI, a local NBC affiliate reported. 
The SUV ended up partially inside the bus, and one bus passenger was ejected. Six people, including Rios, were injured in the crash. 
Authorities at the scene say firefighters and paramedics worked to free people trapped in the wreckage, some of whom suffered “crushing” injuries.
Rio is being held on $4 million bond, and the case has been forwarded to county prosecutors for consideration of criminal charges.
