A six-month observational study of 5,132 adults found a consistent association between how often participants logged food in a nutrition app and the amount of weight they lost, according to a report published on Aug. 28.

The research, conducted by the app company behind the nutrition-tracking platform, was summarized in an analysis by mindbodygreen [1].
