Sunny Hostin used her platform on ABC’s “bona fide new program” The View to once again urge viewers in Maine to vote for Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner. Additionally, she called on Democrats to abandon their morals and do whatever was necessary to take back power in the House and Senate, even if it meant voting for a Nazi. She was also supported by guest co-host Sheryl Underwood who argued it was okay to vote for Platner because “Charles Lindbergh was a Nazi sympathizer.”
“Look, I don’t think Republicans, at this point, can ask us to take the moral high ground. That is over at this point,” Hostin proclaimed, reacting to Platner winning the Democratic nomination. “It’s time for Democrats to stop that nonsense, put emotions on the side, let’s be strategic, let’s get some power, let’s take over the Senate and let’s take over the House and let’s right the ship! Let’s get our country back!”
Hostin continued with her direct appeal for Mainers to elect Platner:
I am sorry, I am someone that believes in character, I am someone that believes that morals matter. But because of the state of this country, I would — if I lived in Maine I would hold my nose and I would vote for Platner! I would!
