September is Suicide Prevention Month, and the South Florida Muslim Federation (SFMF) wants the public to believe that it is committed to assisting those in crisis. Through its Florida Muslim Mental Health Initiative, the Federation is promoting a campaign carrying the message, “Together, we can save lives.” Its new flyer advertises mental health resources and an upcoming event emphasizing assistance for those in need. But behind SFMF’s compassionate façade lies an embrace of overseas terror that is a genuine threat to all of us here at home.
