The media has been doing its usual eulogies for Stephen Colbert and the post-Letterman Late Show after CBS belatedly pulled the plug on the dying institution. The usual articles blame Trump and CBS News, not to mention Ellison, Bari Weiss and whatnot.
The reality is that the late night show is a dead institution. Nobody watches them.
