The New York Times is facing a shareholder lawsuit seeking access to internal records amid allegations that the newspaper failed to enforce its own journalistic standards in its coverage of Israel and the war in Gaza.
The State Board of Administration of Florida and the National Center for Public Policy Research filed suit Wednesday in New York County Supreme Court after months of unsuccessful requests for corporate records. The plaintiffs are seeking materials including board agendas, committee charters and newsroom standards.
