Senate Republicans kicked off a vote-a-rama late Wednesday night after launching a $70 billion plan to fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol through the end of President Donald Trump’s second term. The effort could finally bring an end to the longest partial government shutdown in American history by bypassing Democrats’ demands to reform the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), a stance that has contributed to the stalemate since February 14.
