Senate Democrats on Wednesday blocked a Republican bill previously passed by the House that would encourage states to require data centers to pay for their own energy costs.
In a 57–43 vote, the Senate rejected the bid by Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) to overcome the 60-vote filibuster threshold to advance the bill.
