The United States Secret Service confirmed Tuesday that it is aware of a video that is allegedly being circulated by Iran that threatens first son Barron Trump and offers a reward for his location.A clip of the video suggests a $10 million reward for the American’s location and shows various locations that Barron Trump could be in hopes of assassinating him, according to ABC News.
“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” Nate Herring, a Secret Service spokesperson, told the outlet. “Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”
The video is not the first time that Iran has threatened to assassinate members of the Trump family, including President Donald Trump. Iran has publicly directed threats towards the president and his family since Trump’s first term.
The threat comes after the United States and Israel killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in missile strikes earlier this year. His son has been named to take his place.
