With only a few weeks to go before the November midterm elections, what is being called a “lopsided staffing decision” is now on its way to a courtroom. The Republican National Committee has filed a lawsuit against election officials in Lansing, Michigan, accusing them of favoring Democrats for poll worker positions.
The Michigan and Ingham County Republican parties have signed onto the lawsuit, which was filed on Friday, October 9, 2026, ahead of the midterm elections that will be held in a matter of weeks and will determine whether the GOP can hang on to control of Congress or if Democrats will steal their thunder despite horrific policies that almost nobody agrees with.
