    Republican Senators Fight to Stop Abortion Pills

    U.S. Senators Katie Britt (R-Ala.), Bill Cassidy (R-La.), and 90 Republican lawmakers recently filed another amicus brief in the Western District of Louisiana, supporting Louisiana’s lawsuit to protect women and their unborn children from dangerous chemical abortion drugs. Earlier this year, Senator Britt joined Senator Cassidy and over 100 Republican lawmakers in filing an amicus brief arguing that mifepristone’s in-person dispensing requirement be reinstated.

    Just last week, Senator Britt questioned Acting Attorney General (AG) Todd Blanche at his nomination hearing, highlighting the dangerous lack of an in-person dispensing requirement for mifepristone and asking him to commit to taking action as AG.
