Sen. Bernie Sanders is going to die someday. Or turn senile. Or even more senile. And the socialist movement needs a replacement figurehead to rant about “de billionaires” from one of his three homes.
It’s currently up between Zohran Mamdani, a rich kid whose family has an entire colonial estate in Africa, and Rep. Ro Khanna, one of the slimiest members of Congress, who has gone viral for ranting about “oligarchs” and screeching that Elon Musk needs to pay more taxes. As has been widely noted, Rep. Khanna is quite wealthy for a class warrior (but are there really any non-wealthy class warriors?)
