Military prosecutors for the US government have decided to not appeal the recent decision by a military court that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s confessions to the FBI in 2007 were inadmissible.
The military court previously determined that the prosecution could not prove that KSM’s confessions to the FBI were voluntarily given. KSM’s lawyers argued that KSM was conditioned through torture by the CIA to say whatever his captors wanted him to say prior to the confession made to the FBI.
