“Atlantic bluefin tuna have returned to the waters off Yorkshire, England, after more than six decades. Bluefin tuna largely disappeared from the North Sea in the 1960s after severe overfishing and the collapse of herring stocks. Researchers attribute the recovery to international fishing restrictions, a greater abundance of prey, and warming seas that have widened the bluefin’s range,” reports The Doomslayer.
