Authorities rushed firefighting planes to help fight the flames, the first time such aircraft have been used in the Paris region.
ARBONNE-LA-FORET, France (AFP) — France on Monday battled to contain a fire that scorched almost 2,400 acres in a forest south of Paris on Monday, with aircraft in the skies and firefighters on the ground trying to douse the flames.
