The National Park Service on Wednesday finished installing new historical panels at the President’s House site, delivering on the Trump administration’s pledge to retire exhibits that critics say leaned heavily on America’s failures rather than its founding achievements.
Workers mounted the panels at the Philadelphia site, located steps from where the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776, according to the Associated Press. The property once served as the residence of George Washington, the nation’s first president.
