Nvidia and MediaTek are expanding a broad collaboration to develop next-generation AI platforms across data centers, edge computing, consumer PCs, and automotive, with MediaTek integrating Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion to create custom XPUs for Nvidia’s rack-scale AI infrastructure. Nvidia is backing the expansion with a roughly $3.5 billion convertible-bond investment in MediaTek, as they continue joint development of RTX Spark, DGX Spark, and AI-enabled automotive technologies.
